PBS NewsHour Offers Live Coverage of Inauguration Day 2021

ARLINGTON, VA (January 14, 2021) — PBS NewsHour will provide live coverage of Inauguration Day 2021 on PBS stations nationwide beginning at 10:30 am ET on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 (check local listings). The special will include the swearing-in of the 46th President of the United States Joseph R. Biden Jr. and the 49th Vice President of the United States Kamala D. Harris.

The broadcast will be anchored by managing editor Judy Woodruff, with contributions from White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor, Capitol Hill correspondent Lisa Desjardins, senior national correspondent Amna Nawaz, national correspondents William Brangham and John Yang, and foreign affairs and defense correspondent Nick Schifrin.

NewsHour will also offer live, anchored coverage of the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s “Celebrating America” program from 8:00 – 10:00 pm ET.  The primetime special will include live remarks from Biden and Harris.

In addition to their broadcast on PBS stations, both programs will stream on PBS NewsHour’s digital and social platforms.
