FRONTLINE Nominated for 10 Emmy Awards

FRONTLINE has earned 10 News and Documentary Emmy Award nominations. The films explore pressing domestic and international issues — from the rise of white supremacy in America, to the global refugee crisis, to Facebook’s impact on privacy and democracy in the U.S. and around the world.

The 2019 nominations were announced Thursday by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. FRONTLINE’s 10 nods included one nomination in the Outstanding New Approaches: Documentary category for our interactive film in collaboration with the GroundTruth Project, The Last Generation. FRONTLINE’s film Exodus: The Journey Continues was nominated in the prestigious Best Documentary category.

FRONTLINE also received two nominations for our two-part series The Facebook Dilemma, as well as two nominations for our series in collaboration with ProPublica, Documenting Hate: Charlottesville and Documenting Hate: New American Nazis.

With 47 nominations, PBS was the network with the most Emmy nominations this year. The 40th Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards will take place on Tuesday, September 24. FRONTLINE has won 91 Emmy Awards to date.
